This too shall pass…

On heaven above and earth beneath,

Everything is momentary like day and night.

Eternality is what we wish and pray,

But like seasons everything dies away.

Our whole world rolls…

on an infinite chain,

bolted with ephemeral knots

of drought and rain.

An endless cycle…

of luck and bad luck,

births and deaths,

triumphs and defeats.

When the times get harder

Remember, this too shall pass.

When the times get merrier,

Remember, this too shall pass.

Even the wildest tide recedes,

And the one who stood as a rock,

perseveres and survives,

as if aided by a stroke of luck.

As a pen on a circle drawn,

anything can end up where it began.

Whatever that goes up one day,

Will comes down on another day.

Never lament on your sadful plight,

Remember, this too shall pass,

and the night is darkest,

just before the dawn.
